Hostile mobs
Zombie. Zombies are the weakest monster. They look like a green steve and they growl.
Zombie villager. Same thing as a zombie but instead of steve it looks like a villager.
Skeleton. your typical skeleton but equipped with a bow.
spider.spiders are the second weakest mob and can be distinguished by their hissing
Creeper. Creepers are four legged creatures that blow up. They hiss when near.
Ghast. shots fireball that explodes, also makes moaning noises.
Blaze. blazes shot fire that does not explode. Makes a sound like air being sucked in through mouth.
wither skeleton. A black skeleton that has a sword instead of a bow. You get wither if you go close to it.
Wither. It flies around and is the second most powerful mob. you get wither when you are close to it.
Enderdragon. Most powerful mob with only one per wold. drops a dragon egg if killed.
Slime. slimes come in different sizes. some can harm you and some can't.
Magma cube. magma cubes are the same things as slimes but they are only in the nether.
Defense
Sometimes you aren't ready for a fight or you have no sword with you. Usually you run or try to fight. Running is a good escape, but some monsters (spider, skeleton, Spider jockey, wither skeleton, creeper) will chase you.If you get 16 blocks away from a slime it will forget about you, but sometimes you may be cornered. In that case the best option is to punch it. If a skeleton shoots an arrow at you (it is very very hard) you can deflect it back at the skeleton. Same with a ghasts fireball. If a zombie is coming towards you -with a shovel- you can dig a 2 or 3 block deep hole that is 2 blocks wide. you must make it 4+ blocks long or the zombie will walk around it.If you are not good at defending your home build a lava moat around your house.
