                             Your First night

The first step to minecraft is knowing how to move. use W A S D or the arrow keys to move. If you see a tree walk over to it and left click on part of it until it breaks.Repeat with the rest of the tree. now press E and put almost all the wood in the Crafting slot place. get the wooden planks. Now place 4 wooden planks in all 4 squares of the crafting slot.

Inventory

Now take the crafting table out of the output slot and put it in the quick access bar. Press E again and place the crafting table on the ground, by right clicking on the ground with it in your hand. Right click the Crafting table and (gasp) you will get a 3x3 crafting area. Take 2 wooden planks and put them one on top of the other to get 4 sticks

                                                                   Now craft a pickaxe as shown above.
Go to a hill and use your fist to break the dirt until you see a grey block. use the pick to mine the stone stuff until you have a decent sized bunker. make sure that you have a one block doorway to get into your bunker. If you see cole mine it and make torches by putting cole on top of a stick. light up the bunker with the torches. If you didn't find coal make a furnace by filling up every slot in the crafting table except the middle with cobblestone. Right click on the ground with (any block) it to place it. Right click on it again and put the wood in the top slot and wooden planks on the bottom (or the other don't block the doorway up.  

You can now craft a chest if you wish which is a furnace, but you use wood to craft it instead of cobble. you should also make a stone pick which you craft with cobble/stone instead of wood. if you see iron ore mine it with the stone pick.

                                 day two

If it is day outside make a stone sword if it is not expand your bunker. If you don't have a door destroy one of the blocks in the doorway and quickly place it again if it is night. If it is night, continue expanding the bunker until it is day. If it is day get some more wood. Scout around until you find a place you want to put your house. you can build the house out of wood or cobblestone. the house should be at least 5x4x3 blocks inside.After you finished Make a door and a doorway. Place the door. don't make a doorway with no door unless you want a zombie apocalypse in your house.Now place your crafting table, furnace and chest on the ground.After you have a secure shelter you can do whatever you want to do. You should consider making a mine which is a vertical tunnel in which you might find ores.

             Helpful Things to consider doing

1. Something you might want to do is make a animal farm. To make animal farm just place fence around a random area (make sure to have a gate!), Find a animal, and lure the animal into the farm with wheat.
2. Make a crop farm. same thing but instead of animals you grow crops (melon, pumpkin, Wheat, Sugarcane). Do this by plowing the ground with a hoe and right click on the plowed ground with some kind of seed (with sugarcane just place some a block of sugarcane near water and watch it grow) 
3. put torches up around your buildings yo keep mobs from spawning near you.Also put torches up wherever you go.
4. get a dog or two to protect you
5. Get a cat to keep creepers away
6. make a lot of potions to help fight monsters

Building Houses

#1 Fancy house:               

Okay, first dig out a 16x12 block rectangle (that's 4 blocks deep). Then take spruce wood (or pine as in 1.7 and on) and cover the top, make sure you can only see the bark. Then break a block in one of the 4 corners. Take some ladders and put them where the hole in the corner is and the 3 blocks below it. Now you should have a 16x15 hole in the ground that's 3 blocks tall inside and has ladders to get out. Get out go to one of the long sides and build a 10 block tall wall out of brick. Add 2-4 block tall windows starting from the ground. make the other walls out of oak(eucalyptus) wood planks. Don't forget to put a wooden door up. Go inside and at the 5 block mark put glass making two stories. Walk over to the corner you use to access the basement, and put 5 ladders going up to the 2nd story (break a block if needed). You should now be able to go from the basement to the 2nd story without stopping. Make a room in the corner with walls made out of stone (not cobble) then make a garage door out of nether quartz and sticky pistons, so you can press a lever and make a doorway. Oh yah, use a iron door for the door into the house part.
